World Champions Argentina lose 1-5 to Korea

World Champions Argentina have lost their last round rubin match in Cordoba. The hosts were beaten 1-5 by Korea who join Great Britain in the final.

Lee Seon took the early lead for Korea in the 10th minute. Argentina went for the equalizer but it were Korea who doubled the lead thanks to Mi Park who picked up a pass coming from the Argentine defence. Afterwards Korean goalkeeper Moon Young saved brilliantly against Noel Barrionuevo and Kim Da Rae was denied by Argentine goalie Belen Succi.

Korea created more chances in the second half and gained success by when Cho Eun made it 3-0 before  Mi Park added a fourth. Two minutes later Barrionuevo got Argentina on the scoreboard, but Korea immediately struck back when Seon Lee scored to complete a 5-1 score-line.

Great Britian, who have defeated New Zealand 2-0, play off in the final against Korea, while Argentina face New Zealand in the bronze medal match.
