Speaking about this launch, Andy Tapley, Head of the Organising Committee said: "Volunteers are the heartbeat of our sport, not only on a day to day basis in our clubs, but even more so to help make our events happen. We know - because everyone who attends our events tells us - that our Hockey Makers go above and beyond to help put on the best and most enjoyable event possible.
"The Women’s World Cup is the biggest hockey event ever to be held in the UK and it is coming to the capital London. We are hoping to inspire the local community to get involved and becoming a hockey maker is a great way to do so. I guarantee you will make friends, renew acquaintances, work hard but have a whole lot of fun.’
