19 players on the list with the final cut coming later
With less than a month to go until the Hockey Champions Trophy in Melbourne, Australia, another team unveiled its team list for the event with the Belgium men cutting the squad to 19 players.
Head Coach Marc Lammers held his first practice with the team today and used the occassion to name the 19 players that made the cut. As expected, several young players will get their first chance in a major international tournament such as Arthur Van Doren , Alexander Hendrickx , Amaury Keusters and Sébastien Dockier. The newly appointed Dutch tactician still needs to cut one more player to bring his selection to 18.
Left off the team are Jerome Dekeyser, Renaud Pangrazio, Gilles Verdussen and Florent Van Aubel who had been part of the core of the Red Lions. The 19 players that made the list are:
