Umpiring

The primary umpiring objectives of the FIH are concerned with Umpire and Umpire Manager development and increasing the number and quality of both these sets of Officials. More recently, in  conjunction with the Rules Committee, a further objective is to provide and maintain a Rules of Hockey Video Library of training/coaching aids for Umpires and Umpire Managers.

FIH International Umpire Golden Whistle Award

This award is presented to FIH International Umpires who have completed their 100th official Senior International Inter-Nations Match. This list is updated as and when new Golden Whistle awards are made.

FIH International Umpire Grading Guidelines and Applications Forms

The following documents are the Guidelines Covering the Grading / Listing of International Umpires for Outdoor and Indoor Hockey and the relevant application forms for National Associations to apply on behalf of their Umpires.

FIH International Umpire Manager Grading Guidelines and Applications Forms & Marking System

As at 1 February 2013 a new Umpire Manager Marking System came into operation for all tournaments at FIH and Continental levels. The following documents are the guidelines Covering the grading of FIH Umpire Managers, together with the relevant application forms for National Associations to apply on behalf of their Umpire Manager candidates. Documentation for those who will use the Umpire Manager Marking System is also below, including Introduction/User Notes, the Marks Spreadsheet and the current Umpire Manager Performance Feedback Form.

The following zip file contains all of the various Umpire Manager Resources that will be helpful to Umpire Managers for their Tournaments in 2013. The zip file is updated as and when new documents or resources become available.
