Canada's Men's National Team (MNT) have arrived safely in Paris ahead of next week's World League 2 tournament. With the 18-member team is a unique 19th member: "Johnny" Chimp. The mascot represents the Canadian field hockey community which has pulled together to support the national teams in their Big Push campaign, with many donations coming through the Charitable Impact (Chimp) Foundation. Scotland U18 Boys held a slightly unconventional training session last Sunday at Clydesdale Hockey Club’s Titwood grounds in Glasgow. In addition to the usual drills and fitness, 28 boys took part in a sponsored leg wax to raise funds for their upcoming trip to compete in the EuroHockey U18 Nations Championships in Vienna this July. Hockey New Zealand has won the rights to host the 2013 Oceania Cup which will see the Black Sticks Men and Women heading to Taranaki to take on Australia in October. In a competitive bid process, Oceania Hockey Federation awarded it to Taranaki over other bidders in Australia due to the local support that Taranaki are offering to make the event a real success.
