    New Zealand wins bid for 2013 Oceania Cup

    Competition will take place in Taranaki, in the west of NZ's North Island

    Hockey New Zealand has won the rights to host the 2013 Oceania Cup which will see the Black Sticks Men and Women heading to Taranaki to take on Australia in October. In a competitive bid process, Oceania Hockey Federation awarded it to Taranaki over other bidders in Australia due to the local support that Taranaki are offering to make the event a real success.     Scotland Men return to competitive international action next week when they participate in the FIH World League Round 2 in St Germain, Paris from May 6-12.     Aníbal Fernández voted new Argentinean Hockey President

    The Federal Senator for the Province of Buenos Aires, Dr. Aníbal Fernández won Saturday’s presidential elections, held in the context of the annual ordinary General Assembly of the Argentinean Hockey Confederation, with a unanimous vote and will hold the highest office until 2017. Sandra Isola from Salta, who is also an FIH Executive Board Member, was elected first Vice-President.   More
