    FIH publish latest Rules of Hockey

    FIH has today published the latest Rules of Hockey agreed at the Executive Board meeting at the FIH Congress on 30th October 2014. They are available for worldwide adoption and effective at international level from 1st January 2015.  The two Rule changes are as follows:•    The ability to take attacking free hits, awarded within 5 metres of the edge of the circle, from the point of the offence.     Paumen saves the day for Netherlands

    The Netherlands beat Japan with just 17 seconds on the clock to take second place in Pool A.

    Japan withstood an orange onslaught for 59 minutes, but were finally undone by the power and precision of a Maartje Paumen drag flick. The result was not enough to put Netherlands top of the group, that honour went to New Zealand, and the result means the Netherlands finished second, Japan third and China fourth, on goal difference.  x 3 More

    Let’s introduce the teams competing in Pool B

    The Netherlands, Germany, Argentina and India are the teams to play off in Pool B at the Hero Hockey Champions Trophy in Bhubaneswar. Saturday’s opening matches in Pool B will see the World Cup finalists from Holland facing the Bronze medallists Argentina with Olympic Champions Germany taking on host nation India. More
