Hockey Queensland has set up a Flood Relief Fund as an offer of support to Bundaberg Hockey after their Clubhouse, Hockey Centre and fields were destroyed by the Australia Day floods. More

    It was another day of heavy scoring at the Hockey World League Round 2 event in Rio de Janeiro, with Argentina, South Africa and Chile maintaining their 100 % win records in the competition. Argentina beat Brazil 10-0, South Africa outlasted the USA 6-1 and Chile beat Trinidad and Tobago 4-0 on the second day of competition at the Deodoro Field Hockey Stadium.  x 11 More

    The rain in Spain fell not so gently on the plains creating a rain delay at the Hockey World League Round 2 tournament in Valencia. Because of a steady downpour, the game between Belarus and the Czech Republic had to be suspended with 11 minutes left in the first half. When the game was halted, Belarus held a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal from Ryta Batura. More

    Two big scores & one close contest on Day 1 of Men's WLR2

    There were two big scores and a tightly contested match in the opening day’s three matches at the Men's World League Round 2 event at the Deodoro Field Hockey Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Wednesday. South Africa cruised to a 9-0 victory over Brazil while Argentina dominated Trinidad & Tobago 9-2. The final match of the day was a closely fought match between USA and Chile, with Chile recording a 1-0 win over their north American rivals.  x 66 More

    Bobby Crutchley named coach of England Men

    Crutchley to step up after two Olympic campaigns as Assistant Coach

    England Hockey is delighted to announce that, following a comprehensive external recruitment process, Bobby Crutchley has been appointed to the role of head coach of the England men’s team. Crutchley, 42, has been an assistant coach to the senior men’s programme since 2005 and was part of the Great Britain coaching staff at the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games. He succeeds Jason Lee who was recently appointed as head coach of the senior women’s squad. More

    Las Leonas suffer rare defeat on home soil at hands of New Zealand

    The Black Sticks Women achieved the near impossible today, beating Argentina 4-1 on home soil in Rosario in their third test of the five test series. From the 21 times that the two teams have met in the last ten years, this is only the third time the Black Sticks have pulled off a win. More
