2012 London Olympian Fiona Boyce has retired from international hockey at the age of 25, electing to focus her energy and time on a legal career at the prestigious legal firm, Herbert Smith Freehills. The Perth born athlete represented the Hockeyroos internationally on 100 occasions. She debuted on home soil on 7th July 2009 in a test match against Germany and scored her first international goal against Great Britain in June 2010. x 4 More

England Hockey has today announced that its highly successful Give it a Go campaign will run once again this summer, in partnership with Join In UK. Sites across the country will run hockey taster sessions for young people and adults over a five week period that will replicate the programme of the phenomenal summer of 2012. Last year’s Give it a Go programme has been credited with helping attract 30,000 more people to hockey. x 13 More

Chile may have lost today's battle against Scotland in a 3-2 shootout loss, but they definitely won the war as the one-point performance was enough for the South American nation to secure their spot in the Hockey World League Semi-Finals. Joining Chile in Round 3 will be the U.S., which won the Rio Round 2 tournament after securing a straight forward 6-0 win against Trinidad & Tobago.
