    HC Bloemendaal to host EHL Final Four

    De Nooijer's European swan song to take place at his home club

    HC Bloemendaal, the Dutch hockey club that is the home of retiring legend Teun de Nooijer, has been announced as the venue of EHL Final Four, the climax of this season's Euro Hockey League. Belgium's KHC Dragons, KTHC Rot-Weiss Köln of Germany, Amsterdam H&BC and the event hosts (both NED) will all be fighting it out for the chance to lift the Alain Danet Trophy, the most sought after piece of silverware in the world of club hockey.  x 14 More

    Pakistan crowned champion of U16 Asia Cup

    5-3 win over Bangladesh gives Pakistan the title

    Pakistan are the champions of the 2nd Boys U16 Asia Cup 2013 after emerging triumphant in the final with a 5-3 victory over Bangladesh in front a capacity crowd of close to 1,000 supporters. In the end, the title came down to the two strongest teams throughout the four-day event and the final showed that the two were on par with one another.  x 13 More

    Asian Youth Olympics Games Qualifier Day 2 results

    Pakistan and Bangladesh lead the field

    After two days of action at the U16 Boy‘s Asia Cup, Pakistan and Bangladesh have the edge with three wins each in their three outings. The event is the first-ever official event to use the Hockey 5 format and will serve as a qualifier for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing.  x 14 More

    Asian Youth Olympic Games Qualifiers set to make history

    This week's Asian Youth Olympic Games Qualification Tournament is set to make history as it will be the first official FIH event to use the new Hockey 5 format. The stage is set for this exciting, fast-paced, high-scoring version of hockey to come into the spotlight at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing.     Hockey 5 format a success at Hong Kong tournament

    Four test games played with Youth Oylmpic Games format

    The Hong Kong Football club held its Hockey 6s tournament over Easter weekend and as part of the action, the top international stars took part in Hockey 5 matches as well to test the new format that will be used for the 2014 Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing. Rain cancelled one of the three scheduled match days, but for the two days that were played, there was positive feedback from the organizers and full house of spectators.  x 16 More
