    Young Fiji internationals receive cash boost before Youth Olympic Games qualifier

    THE national under-18 Fiji girls and boys hockey teams have 20,000 reasons to smile before their departure for the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Oceania Qualifiers in the South Pacific Island of Vanuatu. A $20,000 donation from the Fiji National Sports Commission will help further develop young players as the nation continues to improve its international hockey reputation.  x 5 More

    The 2012 FIH player of the year Moritz Fürste has been ruled out of the Rabobank Hockey World Cup, which is taking place in The Hague in 31 May to 15 June this year. The influential German has torn his posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) during a training session in South Africa, where the German men's team are preparing for the World Cup. More

    FIH announce international World Indoor Rankings

    Men and women's rankings allow for transparent pooling for all international FIH events

    The FIH has announced the first Indoor World Rankings for both men and women’s indoor hockey. The new rankings will allow for a transparent way of allocating teams to pools for International FIH events and will be updated at the completion of every FIH Indoor World Cup, and each year’s Indoor Continental Championships.  x 136 More
