    The Netherlands managed to keep a narrow win over Korea (3-2) in a tough battle, firmly positioning themselves as one of the top favorites for the competition. Canada took twice the lead against India but had to finally concede defeat in the final minute of play. India earned the 3 points for the win but certainly did not reassure their fans on their potential in this competition. More

    Germany cleanly defeat Pakistan and maintain 1/ 4 final chances

    European Champions Belgium showed their experience, calmly weathering the Egyptians attacks in first period before striking five times in second period to earn their second win of the competition and a strong hold on top of pool A. A hat-trick by Christopher Rühr lifted Germany over Pakistan for a crucial win that gives them a strong chance to make it through to the quarter-finals. More

    Swanpoel’s second-half goal lifts South Africa over England to top Pool D

    Asian Champions Malaysia fended off a strong challenge from New Zealand. The Kiwis tied the score twice by Kane Russell, but Firhan Ashari scored a late winner for Malaysia. South African captain Dylan Swanpoel served a heart breaker in the 59th minute to lead his team to a 2-1 victory over England for the final game of pool D. Despite an early goal from David Goodfield and a series of dominant possession plays, England was unable to capitalize.  x 4 More

    Cappelle capitalizes twice as Belgium defeats Germany in Pool A opener

    Narrow escape for Pakistan against lowly ranked Egypt

    Maxime Cappelle scored once in each half to lead Belgium 3-1 over a dominant Germany side. Belgium keeper Arnaud Flamand made several outstanding saves to keep his team on track and was named the Hero Man of the Match for his efforts. Pakistan needed a last minute effort to beat Egypt after the Africans came back from a two-goal deficit to tie the match with two penalty-corners. More

    France put on scoring showcase to edge Spain in Pool B

    Oceania Champions Australia cleanly defeated the American Champions Argentina, thanks to a first period 3-goal scoring spree in so many minutes. Five first-half goals started an entertaining match that saw France tip Spain 4-3 for the second game of Pool B play. Simon Martin Brisac capitalized twice to boost France towards the win. More

    Korea outscored Canada in a high-scoring and entertaining opening match of the 2013 Hero Hockey Junior World Cup, with Seo Inwoo and You Seungju completing hat-tricks. The Netherlands calmly weathered the Indian storm then strike three times in first period to silence the home crowd and share the lead of pool C with Korea. More

    The Men’s Hero Hockey Junior World Cup 2013, featuring the world finest young players, opens on Friday in the grandiose Major Dhyan Chan National Hockey Stadium in New Delhi.
    For the sixteen teams, it is the culmination of a long journey, started two years ago with continental qualifications.
