COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Field Hockey and Spooky Nook Sports today announced a partnership that will make Nook Sports the home of hockey and base of the U.S. Women’s National Team through 2022. Nook Sports, named after their location on Spooky Nook Road in Lancaster, Pa., is the nation’s soon-to-be largest indoor sports complex and will also host national USA Field Hockey sanctioned events beginning in 2014. It was a banner day for the South African Women's Hockey team with Marsha Marescia and Pietee Coetzee both reaching notable landmarks as the host nation surged to a 6-0 win against Ghana at the World League Round 2 event in Cape Town. South Africa joins Azerbaijan and Belgium at the top of the standings in the five-team event. Azerbaijan earned a 2-1 win against Austria in the early game. More

Azerbaijan and Ghana kicked off the Round 2 of the Hockey World League today in South Africa as the first Round 2 tournament kicked off under sunny, but extremely windy conditions. Azerbaijan braved the blustery weather and came away with the historic 4-0 win. In the second game of the day, Belgium had no problem downing Austria in an 8-0 drubbing. More
