    Quarterfinals match-ups set for Champions Trophy

    The quarterfinals are set at the Champions Trophy after a wide open preliminary round that saw India and the Netherlands top their preliminary round groups.     Azerbaijan became the latest team to earn a berth to World League Round 2 after winning the men’s World League Round 1 tournament held in Doha, Qatar.     A Golden Goal from Peter Caruth gave Ireland a sensational extra-time victory over Malaysia to claim the Bronze medal at the Argentina Hockey Champions Challenge in Quilmes.     Argentina Hockey Champions Challenge 1: Classification Games

    Japan have grabbed a 5th place finish at the Argentina Hockey Men's Champions Challenge thanks to a 4-2 victory over Canada. Yuta Fukushiro, Kei Kawakami, Kazuhiro Tsubouchi and Toshihiro Tachibana got the goals for Japan, with the Canadian goals coming from Matthew Bissett and Mark Pearson. Earlier in the day, South Africa defeated Poland 4-1 to claim 7th place. More

    Germans fall to England for first time in CT history

    Dutch and Aussies draw; India on top of standings

    Both Pakistan and England picked up their first wins at this edition of the Champions Trophy. Pakistan got two late goals in a 2-0 win over Belgium. England's win was a bit more dramatic as they netted a 4-1 win against the Germans in a testy, action-packed game. It was the first-ever win for England against Germany at the Champions Trophy. Australia had to settle for a 0-0 draw against the Netherlands, while India is the only team with two wins after beating New Zealand, 4-2.  x 15 More
