The 43rd FIH Congress successfully concluded today with a new Executive Board in place for the next term. In total four new Executive Board members were elected to hockey’s governing body. In addition to the Executive Board election, FIH President Leandro Negre was reconfirmed for another four-year term by the Congress after running unopposed for the position. x 33 More

On the eve of its official Congress the FIH took the chance to host a Forum for all the hockey delegates from around the globe. With the theme, “It’s All About Events” delegates had the opportunity to gain knowledge and insight on the many aspects of hosting events from a panel of experts. x 6 More

As the road to Rio 2016 starts, five-time international player of the year Jamie Dwyer will headline an Australian team featuring 10 London Olympic bronze medalists at the Men’s Champions Trophy 2012 in Melbourne from 1-9 December. The FIH Executive Board met before the official start of the FIH Congress in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday. The major news to come out of the meeting was the decision to increase the number of participating nations at the 2018 World Cup to 16 men’s and 16 women’s squads. x 92 More
