  The FIH announced today that Gordon Nurse has been appointed to the new position of Disciplinary Commissioner.The position is part of the new FIH Statutes and Bye-Laws, which take effect on January 1, 2013. It is envisioned that the Disciplinary Commissioner will handle any disciplinary offences that are not committed on the field of play.  x 3 More

  New faces in Black Sticks Champions Trophy team

  Batch names squad to compete in Melbourne

  Head coach Colin Batch has made it clear that he is searching for the next group of Black Sticks that can make up his side for the 2016 Olympic Games. For the upcoming Champions Trophy to be held in Melbourne in December, Batch has opted to select eight new players including debutants Jacob Smith (Capital), Alex Shaw (Auckland) and goalkeeper Devon Manchester (Auckland). Goalkeeper Hamish McGregor (Southern), who only has one international test cap, has also made the side. More

  Goderie, Engels, Agliotti & Veenhoven step away from Oranje duty

  According to reports surfacing in The Netherlands, Maartje Goderie, Marilyn Agliotti, Marieke Veenhoven and Floortje Engels have all decided to step away from the international game. Both Goderie, 28, and Agliotti, 33, were members of the Netherlands team that claimed Gold at the London 2012 Olympic Games. More
