    World Number 1 defeats Australia 4-1

    Maartje Paumen scored two goals, while Kelly Jonker and Carlien Dirkse van de Heuvel added one each to give the current Olympic Champions a comfortable win against Australia. In the Bronze Medal Match, Germany powered past South Africa 6-2, while Great Britain scored three without conceding one against Ireland in the 5th place play-off.  x 15 More

    Lombi trims the team to the final 16 for the Olympics

    Argentina men's coach, Pablo Lombi, today announced the 16 players that will represent the country at the 2012 London Olympics. Among the highlights of the team list are the Villa brothers: Rodrigo, Luke and Matthew, the captain of the Argentine team. Also of note is that U21 standout Gonzalo Peillat made the final cut.  x 11 More

    Semi-finals set at Investec Cup

    Netherlands v. South Africa and Germany v. Australia

    The semi-finals are set at the Investec cup after Preliminary round action wrapped up on Thursday in London. In the first semi-final, World #1 Netherlands will take on South Africa. Meanwhile the second semi-final will feature Germany against Australia. Left out of the top four are host Great Britain and neighboring Ireland.   More

    Germany edges strong SA squad; Ausiies roll 4-1 v. Ireland

    There were wins for Australia and Germany on day two of the Investec London Cup, results that mean Great Britain and Ireland have big matches on Thursday against Germany and the Netherlands. Austrlalia had no problem topping Ireland, 4-1, while Germany had to dig deep for a 1-0 victory against a dangerous South African side. More

    South Africa's Olympic teams finalized

    Men's and Women's team lists trimmed to 16 each

    South Africa’s Olympic governing body SASCOC announced it's entire Olympic athlete roster, including the 16 men's and 16 women's players that will participate in the hockey tournament. SASCOC announced the team at a glittering function at the Olympic House headquarters while the women's national team was busy at the Investec Cup in London.  x 17 More

    Investec Cup kicks off in London

    Last major pre-Olympic test for women's teams

    The Investec London Cup got off to a flying start this afternoon in West London. Hosts Great Britain suffered an opening day defeat to South Africa while reigning Olympic champions the Netherlands came from behind to seal a 2-1 victory over the Hockeyroos of Australia. More
