    Electric Ireland have been unveiled as the title sponsor of the FIH Olympic Qualifying Tournament. The Olympic countdown continues for the Men's Irish hockey team as they prepare for the Electric Ireland FIH Road to London tournament, the only direct Olympic Qualifying tournament taking place in Ireland across any discipline and brings six nations together to battle it out for one spot in the London 2012 Olympics.     Quarter Finals confirmed in Rosario

    Argentina FIH Champions Trophy - Day 3

    Day 3 in Rosario started with Netherlands taking a 4-1 win over Japan to claim top spot in Pool A. Despite defeating China 3-1, Great Britain finished in second place on goal difference. Germany surprised by winning Pool B after beating New Zealand 3-1 while Argentina had to settle for 2nd place in their pool after a 2-2 draw with Korea. The World Champions face China in Thursday’s Quarter Final, while Netherlands play New Zealand, Germany face Japan and Great Britain meet Korea.  x 2  x 4 More

    The Canadian Men’s and Women’s Field Hockey Teams will compete in the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Olympic Qualification Tournament in New Delhi, India from February 18th – 26th. This is the final chance for both Canadian National Teams to qualify for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. More

    GB drew with Netherlands - Argentina beat Germany

    Argentina FIH Champions Trophy - Day 2

    The Netherlands gave away a 2-0 lead against Great Britain who fought back thanks to Crista Cullen's double-strike. Both teams are now on four points in pool A of the Argentina FIH Champions Trophy held in Rosario. Day 2 got underway with China's 2-1 victory over Japan.     South Africa confirm squad for Olympic qualifier

    The SA Hockey Association Friday named the Investec South Africa women’s hockey team to play in the Olympic Qualifier Tournament in Delhi, India from February 18 to 26. Captain Marsha Marescia’s team must win the Delhi event in order to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games. There are no opportunities afterwards.  x 2 More

    Record Exposure for Women’s Hockey in Asia

    Pakistan and India to have a new level of television coverage

    Women’s hockey will receive record exposure on the Asian Subcontinent when the Argentina FIH Champions Trophy starts in Rosario tomorrow, Saturday. Ten Sports will show 15 of the 24 matches live, with a further 7 matches delayed-as-live. PTV will show all except four matches live. More

    The FIH today announced that Singapore will take the place of the United States at the Olympic Qualification Tournament in New Delhi, India from February 18-26. Singapore was contacted to join the six team men’s qualification group after the United States unexpectedly pulled out.  x 9 More
