    Australia and Netherlands win Pools in Auckland

    Owen G Glenn FIH Champions Trophy - Day 3

    Australia and The Netherlands were the respective winners of Pools A and B after a sensational day of action at the Owen G Glenn FIH Champions Trophy. The Netherlands won Pool B thanks to a 3-3 draw with host nation New Zealand, a result which sealed a place in Pool C for the Black Sticks. New Zealand fought back from 3-0 down to tie the scores, putting them in the Championship Pool ahead of Germany. More

    Kookas and Dutch maintain 100% win records

    Following Sunday's washout, the delayed second day of action at the Owen G Glenn FIH Champions Trophy in Auckland produced some truly top class hockey, with reigning champions Australia and The Netherlands in outstanding form. Pool A leaders Australia stormed to a 4-1 win over Great Britain while the Dutch defeated perennial rivals Germany to top Pool B. There were also wins for Spain and host nation New Zealand, who routed Korea 6-1 to thrill the home fans.  x 8 More

    Belgium hit back to stun India and earn a place in the 2012 Champions Trophy

    An ecstatic Belgium side celebrated a dramatic last-gasp victory over eight-times Olympic champions India in the final of the FIH Champions Challenge 1 in Johannesburg and are set to make their first ever appearance in the Champions Trophy. Tom Boon put the icing on the cake for Belgium when he scored a last-minute winner after his side had mounted a comeback, fighting from 3-1 down to win an absorbing final.  x 147 More

    Host South Africa found the silver lining to an emotional FIH Champions Challenge 1 after earning the bronze medal in Johannesburg. Malaysia and Japan also ended the tournament on a high note after coming out winners in their placement games. More

    Owen G Glenn FIH Champions Trophy: Rescheduled matches

    Games to be played on Monday 5th December

    Due to heavy rain in Auckland and an unplayable pitch, all matches on Sunday 4th December have been rescheduled to Monday 5th December. As a consequence of the new match schedule on the 5th of December, some matches on Tuesday 6th December have also been rescheduled.  x 14 More

    Heavy rain kills off Sunday's play at Owen G Glenn FIH Champions Trophy

    Due to heavy rain, all of the matches due to take place on Day 2 of the Owen G Glenn FIH Champions Trophy have been called off. The decision was made by Tournament Director Bjorn Isberg on Sunday. Information about the new match schedule will be posted to FIH.CH as soon as it becomes available.   More

    The final game is set at the Champions Challenge 1 in Johannesburg after a thrilling day of semi-final action. Belgium overcame adversity in a nail biting shootout to overcome Argentina on the final shooter. Meanwhile India earned it's spot in the final on the strength of their penalty corner, which allowed them to surge to a 4-2 win against host South Africa.  x 54 More

    Australia, Great Britain, Germany & Netherlands all victorious on Day 1

    Australia, Great Britain, Germany and The Netherlands all recorded victories on the opening day of Owen G Glenn FIH Champions Trophy, which is taking place in Auckland, New Zealand. Australia and Great Britain lead the way in Pool A after hard earned victories over Spain and Pakistan respectively, while Pool B is headed by Germany and The Netherlands, winners against New Zealand and Korea.    x 4 More
