The Hockeyroos and Kookaburras have today confirmed their squads to compete against New Zealand in next week’s Oceania Cup-Olympic Qualifier event in Hobart from October 6-9. The Hockeyroos have selected a 19 player squad and will confirm their final squad of 18 on the eve of the tournament, while The Kookaburras have reduced their 20 man squad selected weeks ago down to 18 players. It was a week to remember for the girls of Japan at the 3rd Under-18 Asia Cup, which took place at the Queen Sirikit National Hockey Stadium in Thailand from 16th-25th September. The Japanese youngsters became champions of the ten team tournament thanks to a 1-0 victory over the heavily-fancied China. More

The Hockey Stadium for the London 2012 Olympics is beginning to take shape at its position on the edge of the Olympic Park. The venue is one of the last to be constructed due to its location, which needed to be kept clear to ensure construction traffic had access to the more centrally located arenas. However, with many of the venues close to completion, the Hockey Stadium is now being developed at a rapid rate. x 8 More
