In other Thursday action, Malaysia defeated Hong Kong 2-1 while Japan was stronger than Taipei (4-0).

Korea has scored 18 goals in only two games, while Oman was still searching for its first victory. Meanwhile, China strolled past Bangladesh 4-1 to keep up its 100 percent record. Bangladesh, on the other hand, has lost all of matches convincingly.

The Chinese took the lead in the 19th minute when Hedayetul Islam passed inadvertently to Hu Liang who scored from Bangladesh's semicircle.

From a penalty corner rebound in the 33rd minute, Li Wei made an angled pass to Liu Xiantang who tapped in for China's second goal and give the Chinese team a 2-0 lead at the break.

In the second half, Hu Huiren extended China's lead from a penalty corner. China's fourth goal was similar but this time Na Yubo converted.

Bangladesh scored a consolation goal in the final minute when Md Mazharul Islam tapped in.

China’s coach Kim Sangryul said: ‘I'm satisfied but I wanted the team to score more goals. The players played very casually. They missed numerous chances.’

In pool A, Malaysia took the lead after a narrow 2-1 victory over Hong Kong. The Malaysian team has five points out of three matches now. Japan and Pakistan, who played two matches so far, are sharing the second position with four points.
