The German Hockey Federation (DHB) nominated Markus Weise as new coach of the Men’s national team, the team that recently was crowned as World Champion. Weisse, who was coaching the German Women’s team, took over the job from Bernhard Peters, who left the DHB after 21 years of service. Weise won with the German Women’s team the 2004 Olympic Games and served the German Federation as Women’s national team coach since 2003. Michael Behrman will take over the job from Weise as coach of the German Women’s team.
