The Pan American Hockey Federation has announced the participating teams, and reserves, for the 2006 XX Central American & Caribbean Games men's and women's competitions.

The will be held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from 18-29 July this year.

Due to the amount of entries in the men's competition, the Pan American Hockey Federation based its selection of the final eight teams on the Sahara WorldHockey Team Rankings.

Men
Group 1 – Dominican Republic, Netherlands Antilles, Puerto Rico
Group 2 – Barbados, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela
Reserves – Jamaica, Guyana

Women
Group 1 – Barbados, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica
Group 2 – Bermuda, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, Trinidad & Tobago

The match schedule and list of tournament officials will be advised as soon as they are finalised.
