USFHA: Kelly Doton scored the USA's only goal as Ireland won 3-1 in the 3rd place playoff the Argentina Four Nation Tournament in Rosario.

Host Argentina was set to play Olympic gold medalist Germany in the championship game late Sunday night.

The USA defeated Ireland earlier in the tournament, but fell behind midway through the first half on a goal by Ireland's Suzanne Beaney in the 23rd minute.

Ireland added two additional goals by Eimear Cregan and Cathy McKean after halftime to build a 3-0 lead before Doton finally put the USA on the board in the 59th minute

The tournament served as a final tune-up for the USA before the team heads to Rome for the BDO Hockey World Cup Qualifier from 25 April-6 May.

The USA will meet Ireland in a rematch in the first game of the World Cup Qualifier when the two teams meet 25 April.
