Angie Loy and Tiffany Snow scored first half goals to lead the USA women to a 2-1 victory over Ireland at the Argentina Four Nation Tournament in Rosario.
The win boosts the USA record at the tournament to 1-1. The USA will face Germany in the final game of round-robin play on Saturday.
Loy and Snow combined for a pair of goals early in the game with Loy connecting on a score just two minutes into the game. Snow increased the USA lead just seven minutes later as the USA went into halftime with a 2-0 lead.
Ireland's Ciara O'Brien scored midway through the second half, but goalkeeper Amy Tran and the USA defense held onto the lead to give the team its first victory of the tournament.
Host Argentina and Olympic gold medallist Germany were set to play in Thursday's late game.
