Netherlands coach Max Caldas has revealed the group of player which he hopes will become the first ever winners of the Hockey World League when they compete in the Finals tournament in San Miguel de Tucumán, Argentina later this month.

The group contains the usual big names including sensational goal-scorer Kim Lammers, classy attackers Eva de Goede and Ellen Hoog as well as inspirational captain and penalty corner star Maartje Paumen, a player who was voted World Player of the Year for both 2011 and 2012.

Lidewij Welten makes a welcome return to the group, although Sabine Mol and Valerie Magis are notable absentees.

Coach Caldas has also named a two reserves, with Marel de Blaey (29 caps) and Malou Pheninckx (14 caps) being the players on standby. The full squad can be found below.

The reigning Olympic champions have been drawn into Pool A for the Argentina Hockey World League Final tournament, with the opponents being Germany, England and Korea ahead of the Quarter Final stages. Pool B contains hosts Argentina, Australia, New Zealand and China. The full playing schedule for the event can be seen by clicking here.

The Argentina Hockey World League Final for women takes place from 30 November – 8 December 2013, with the men’s Final tournament taking place early next year in New Delhi, India. All matches from the tournaments will be streamed live on the FIH YouTube Channel, ensuring that you will not miss out on any of the action.
