Salva Indurain, the recently appointed coach of Spain men, has revealed the 27 players that will begin preparations for the World League Round 3 competition that takes place in Rotterdam (NED) from 13-23 June. The competition serves as a qualifier for the 2014 FIH World Cup.
The list contains a number of Spanish hockey’s big names, including top goalkeeper Quico Cortes, outstanding defender Ramon Alegre, dangerous striker Santi Freixa, and the mercurial talent that is Edi Tubau.
As well as including these iconic stars of Spanish hockey, Indurain’s decision to name ten newcomers in his selection clearly shows that he is also looking very much to the future. The full squad can be found below.
