The rain in Spain fell not so gently on the plains creating a rain delay at the Hockey World League Round 2 tournament in Valencia. Because of a steady downpour, the game between Belarus and the Czech Republic had to be suspended with 11 minutes left in the first half. When the game was halted, Belarus held a 1-0 lead thanks to a goal from Ryta Batura.
Assuming the skies clear tomorrow, the new playing schedule will be:
Friday, March 1 – Belarus vs. Czech Republic (remainder of game) 10:00
Friday, March 1 – Spain vs. Italy 12:00
All of the other games on the schedule will proceed as previously planned with two games each on both Saturday and Sunday.
