The FIH is seeking a highly motivated individual with experience and an interest in marketing to join our team at FIH (the International Hockey Federation) based in Lausanne, Switzerland.
As the Governing Body for the sport of Hockey the FIH owns and delivers a range of events including World Cups, Champions Trophies, and the new Hockey World League. The FIH has 127 member National Associations and enjoys a strong profile and following in many countries around the world. It is an exciting point in time for Hockey post the London Olympics where it was the 3rd most popular sport to watch based on ticket sales.
We are now looking to develop our marketing and digital presence to raise the profile of the sport and the FIH worldwide.
The position is a full time position reporting to the Events and Marketing Director based in Lausanne, Switzerland and may require a degree of travel. The start date for the successful candidate will be February 2013. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
 Building the FIH brand and image and monitoring the use of the FIH logos and marks across the events/use by third parties  Building the brand and image of the events within the FIH event portfolio and developing logos and marks for each of these events
 Developing collateral and toolkits for FIH and the host organisers to market/promote the events
 Assist host organisers where necessary with their marketing activities  Develop a Hockey Heroes programme to raise the profile of the top players across the world  Work with the National Associations to share best practice and generic marketing activities  Assisting to create content for social media activities and digital platforms  Creating on-going reports for FIH management on marketing activities
Candidate profile: 
 Passionate about sport (an interest in Hockey would be a definite advantage)
 Experience of brand marketing or event marketing
 An understanding of the social media universe and an active personal user of YouTube, Facebook, Flickr, Forums, Twitter, Wikis, blogs, etc…
 A bachelor’s degree in marketing/advertising/PR etc 
 Excellent English writing skills - additional languages (French/Spanish) extremely useful
 An ability to work individually on a project or in a team environment
 Not a 9 – 5er (our events run over the weekends) 
 Experience working in an international environment, across different cultures/languages 
 Knowledge of Photoshop / Illustrator a benefit
