The 2012 Men's Hockey Champions Trophy Tournament will be held from 1-9 December 2012 at Melbourne’s State Netball Hockey Centre, a venue which also hosted the 2009 Men’s Champions Trophy as well as the hockey competition at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

The tournament will host the top four-ranked teams in the world and four highly regarded invitational teams, with London 2012 Olympic Champions Germany heading a field which also features Australia, The Netherlands, England, Belgium, India, New Zealand and Pakistan.

It will be the third major hockey tournament for Australia’s sporting capital, following the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games and the 2009 Men’s Champions Trophy.

Hockey Australia will be posting regular tweets in the build up to the event.  To keep up to speed, you can follow @HockeyAustralia or use the #CTMelb2012 hashtag.
