Diary – Day 3 – Tuesday 20 September

Micheal, Carien, Jelio, Rebecca, Victoria, Tina and Chloe working on their presentation
Today we started with African Day! Paul told us about beads and the meaning of the colors. We made bracelets representing our countries. He explained how African people use colors in bracelets and necklaces to show different things and to ask questions. Each colour has a positive and negative except white, which is only positive.
Everyone then listened to the rest of the presentations. While having lunch, we watched Germany vs Argentina. After lunch we played a game which involved us getting in to group only using animal sounds …. in a dark room.
Roxana made an excellent presentation on Event Management for the workshop. We then divided in to groups and had to show ideas about organizing an event and present a checklist, budget and poster about it.
The projects were about: umpiring course, hockey tour and club anniversary.
We sat and worked on it for about 50 minutes and after presenting it to the rest of the participants. Paul finished Africa’s day with interpreting the negative ness of different colors of the beads used on bracelets. After dinner at the club house we watched an exciting match Chile v England.
Thank you, Gracias, Dziekujemy, Namaste, Aubowan!
