Diary – Day 4 – Wednesday 21 September

Today we opened with European Day where each representative from the different European countries told us a bit about their country and how to say “Good Morning”. These promoters were from Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Poland, Netherlands, Switzerland, Wales, Ireland, Scotland and England. After this we were able to taste typical snacks from these different countries.We found the most delicious to be the Stroopwagels from the Netherlands.

bWe also had to staff birthdays to celebrate Anne Ellis and Roxana Kocourek -happy birthday to your both!

We were then treated to a coaching workshop by FIH Master Coach Horst Wein. He explained his Youth Development Coaching model and talked about his hockey experiences. After the theory session we went to the pitch to do some practical work and have fun with hockey.

Later in the afternoon we had a Fundraising Workshop which was presented by Monica Cummerbatch from Barbados. The day ended soon after that and we went to watch the Spain v USA game and the Australia V England.
