It is with great sadness that the Enlgnad Hockey reported the death of Mary Russell-Vick who died in hospital on March 10 at the age of 89 after a short illness.

MRV, as she was always known, had a long and distinguished hockey career as a stylish international player who went on to be the All England Women’s Hockey Association President for ten years and then President of Great Britain Hockey.  One of Mary’s proudest moments was when she hosted the Queen at Wembley for the England v Wales International in 1981.

The Times have published a piece about MRV, to read it please click here.
