VALENCIA, Spain – Ireland, Belgium and France are heading home with mixed results after a Four Nations test series in Spain. France left from Spain directly to go to the Olympic Qualification tournament that starts Friday in New Delhi after earning a win and a loss against Belgium.
Belgium played matches against France, Spain and Ireland, closing with a win and a loss against France, a 2-1 record against Ireland and a loss and a tie against Spain.
Ireland played five games while in Spain. The Irish tied Spain once and suffered a 2-0 loss yesterday, while going 1-2 against Belgium.
Rounding out the games was France and Belgium splitting their two games against each other.
The games were a key test for Ireland, which will host its Olympic Qualification group, which begins on March 10 in Dublin. Belgium and Spain are already qualified to the London 2012 Olympics.
