HKHA: Hong Kong’s previously dilapidated national hockey stadium, King’s Park, which has been getting a major upgrade in recent months, has neared completion.

Among the list of stadium renovations, the artificial surface has been replaced with a FIH approved system (Poligras 2000 LSR).

The project was funded by the LCSD (Leisure and Cultural Services Department) and supervised by ASD (Architectural Services Department). International testing of the system will be undertaken by an FIH certified test-house in two weeks time.

Due to the upgrade, Hong Kong Hockey Association (HKHA) hopes to again be able to host major international events and major teams such as India, Pakistan, Japan, Korea, England and China in the near future.

The Hong Kong men’s team has a busy calendar in the next 12 months with the upcoming All China Games, East Asian Games, Asian Games and Asia Cup.
