SPANISH VETERANS HOCKEY TEAM GOES ON ASIAN TOUR 2011
From December 1-11, Spanish Veteran Hockey Team "Los Caracoles" went on a big hockey adventure visiting Vietnam, Bali and Singapore.
The tour started in Ho Chi Minh City, where the team had a warm welcome at the airport and played a six a side Tournament against Tornados Vietnam on December 2. The team enjoyed fun, competitive games, followed by a traditional Vietnamese dinner, including speeches, awards and music.
The team was impressed by the organization of the Vietnam leg of the journey, which was headed by James Chew. He is pushing the development of Hockey in Vietnam.
After Vietnam, the team moved to Bali which was organized Mr. Yongky Adi. In Bali, the team played a Triangular Tournament in Jimbarán Hockey field.  Bima Unesa Team from Surabaya, Bali Hockey Club and Los Caracoles played for three hours on December 6, and had a great time. Awards and few beers after the games completed an excellent day of hockey.
After four fantastic days of enjoying Bali, the team moved onto Singapore, the final stage of the trip.

The opponents in Singapore were the Indian Veterans and the game was played in the beautiful Astroturf Pitch of Shenkang where the Junior World Cup took place in 2009. It was a good game followed by North Indian Food and Bangra dancing night organized by Singh " Jerry".
The team returned to Barcelona on December 11 with many new memories and a better idea of how well hockey is developing in one of the furthest corners of the world from home in Spain.
