The names of the 24 players who will re-start training on 9 January in the hope of remaining on the final list of those representing Argentina in next year's Champions Trophy have been announced.
Having finished up the year with two international titles (the 4 Nations events in Quilmes and Paraná), the senior team is on holiday and 24 Leonas will re-commence training on 9 January 2012. All of them will have the opportunity to be included in the squad that will represent the country in the most important event in the first half of 2012.
It is worth remembering that before the Champions Trophy, the Leonas will participate in a 4 Nations event in the province of Córdoba from 18 to 22 January, Argentina will be competing with Korea, New Zealand and Great Britain there. Following this, the World Champions will take on China in a test match on Wednesday 25 January at the World Cup Stadium in Rosario, and only days later, will celebrate their grand debut in the Champions Trophy 2012 (from 28 January to 5 February).
