The FIH can confirm the complete line-ups for the upcoming FIH Champions Trophy and Challenge tournaments, which take place in New Zealand and South Africa respectively.
Complete squad lists for all eight teams competing in the Owen G Glenn FIH Men’s Champions Trophy (Auckland, 3-11 December 2011) can be found by clicking here.
One big piece of news ahead of that particular event concerns legendary Spain striker Pol Amat. The 2008 FIH Men’s Player of the Year has been forced to withdraw from the squad due to an injury sustained in a recent Spanish league match and has been replaced in the group by Real Club de Polo de Barcelona player Gabriel Dabanch. Xavi Lleonart has also been hit by injury, with uncapped 23-year-old Alex Casasayas stepping into the squad.
The complete team lists for the FIH Men’s Champions Challenge I – which begins this weekend in Johannesburg, South Africa – are also available. To see them, please click here.
Broadcast information about both tournaments will be posted on the FIH website in the coming days.
