The EHF announced that the Protocol Agreement with the African Hockey Federation (AHF) was renewed and will take effect on 1st January 2012 for two more years.
This agreement, which commenced in 2004, has led to improved relations between the two Continents and an opportunity for African coaches and umpires to avail of Seminars and Courses that the EHF organises each year.
The EHF looks forward to working with the AHF and focusing on how this agreement can ensure that the excellent co-operation can be consolidated for the benefit of both continents.
EHF Vice president Jorge Alcover said “In Europe we are very privileged to have more resources both human and facilities than in Africa. It is therefore our duty and our pleasure to sign an agreement that will see members of the AHF participate in our Umpire and Coaching Seminars and Courses in order to develop their own knowledge and bring that back to their regions and National Associations. Our recent General Assembly theme was “Sharing Knowledge” and I believe that this is a wonderful way to continue this theme in a practical way with our neighbours in Africa. We have great respect for the work being done by The President Seif Ahmed and his team and we hope that this agreement will continue to enhance the great work of AHF.”
