The ESB Electric Ireland FIH Champions Trophy I for women gets underway this morning at University College Dublin. The tournament will see eight teams battling it out for the title from Saturday 18th until Sunday 26th June.
The tournament consists of two Pools of four, with Japan, South Africa, Scotland and USA competing in Pool A while Azerbaijan, Spain, India and Ireland will face each other in Pool B.
Today’s action begins at 10:00hrs (GMT +1), with Japan and the USA both aiming to get their Pool A campaign off to the best possible start. That match is followed at 12:30 with the meeting between Pietee Coetzee’s South Africa and Scotland.
The first of the Pool B matches begins at 15:00hrs as India take on host nation Ireland in a game that is sure to attract a large crowd. The final match of the day will take place at 17:30, with Spain and Azerbaijan taking to the field.
