The Dutch Hockey Federation (KNHB) and Michel van den Heuvel jointly decided to terminate Van den Heuvel’s job as men’s national team coach.
The reason that Van den Heuvel leaves earlier than expected was the difference in views between the two parties in the next steps to be taken to prepare the team for the 2012 London Olympic Games and the 2014 FIH World Cup.
The KNHB stated that it fully respects the competences of Van den Heuvel and the work he has done in the past ten years in different roles.
The KHHB hopes to present a new coach by 1 June 2010.
