Favorites start with victory at AtaHolding World Cup Qualifier

Tournament favorites USA, Korea and Belgium won their first match at the AtaHolding World Cup Qualifier in San Diego CA, USA on Friday.

Host USA defeated Mexico 7-0, while Korea was stronger than France (4-0). Belgium won the opening match of the AtaHolding World Cup Qualifier when the Belgian women’s team defeated Canada 2-0.

Play at the USOC Olympic Training Center in Southern California continues on Saturday with the matches Canada-Korea, Mexico-Belgium and France-USA schedules. Only the winner of this event will earn a spot for the BDO FIH World Cup, to be played in Rosario, Argentina early September 2010.
