Spain and Netherlands have drawn the two official matches played in the new pitch of Alicante University showing that they will arrive to the Hero Honda FIH World Cup on similar form.

Both matches followed the same way only changing the names of the main actors. Netherlands dominated the first part on the 13 February match gaining a 2-0 advantage before being drawn by a better Spain in the second half (2-2). Pol Amat (FG) and Roc Oliva (PC) scored the Spanish goals.

In the second match, played on 15 February, it was Spain to take the lead with two goals from Pau Quemada and Ramón Alegre (PC). A late reaction from Netherlands let them draw the match preventing any winner in this double duel (2-2).

These matches have been the last ones before going to India, where Spain have planned to play against New Zealand on 24 February and Korea on 26 February to finish the build-up before starting the Hero Honda FIH World Cup against South Africa on 28 February.
