Hero Honda, the title sponsor of the Hero Honda FIH World Cup, is taking active steps to promote the sport and the event in India.
After their successful Television commercial campaign involving Olympic Silver Medalist Rajyavardhan Rathore, leading Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag and Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, Hero Honda have now organized an interschool hockey tournament in the country.
This will definitely revive the passion for Hockey at the grass root levels where kids through their participation will realize how exciting this seventy minute game can be.
The competition will take place in about 19 cities across the country, where 4000 kids from more than 275 schools will participate and enjoy the electrifying sport.
That’s not all as the World Cup trophy will also be carried and be on display in the eight North Indian cities of Delhi, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Phagwara, Firozepur, Jagraon and Ropar.
