rediff.com: In a morale booster ahead of the Rabo Hockey Junior World Cup in Rotterdam next week, the Indian colts won a four-nation hockey tournament in Bilbao, Spain after drawing their last match against Chile 2-2 on Sunday.

The competition saw India finishing undefeated with two wins and a draw to end with five points, one more than runners-up the Netherlands.

The World Cup holders had beaten the Dutch team in their opening encounter before registering another victory over Spain.

Sunday's draw against Chile, who finished at the bottom of the table, ensured that they go to the Junior World Cup, starting later this month in Rotterdam, Netherlands, with a positive mindset.

In the day’s other match, Netherlands beat Spain to finish second with two wins - their other victory coming against Chile.

Drag-flicker Sandeep Singh was declared the player of the tournament while Adrian D'Souza was named the best goalkeeper.

The Indian team will now proceed to Frankfurt, Germany, for a seven-day training camp including practice matches before departing for Rotterdam for the mega event.
