England claimed the KT Cup with an impressive 3-1 win over hosts Korea in Seongnam today.

“Today we won through some basic human qualities, desire, passion and playing for each other. It was fantastic to be part of this,” England coach Danny Kerry said.

England only gained the ascendancy in a seven-minute patch after half time, slotting three goals to open a healthy margin. While Korea edged a goal back immediately after, England’s defence held firm to complete a well-deserved win.

Earlier in the day, China took third place with an easy 5-2 win over Ireland while India inflicted a heavy 8-2 defeat of Malaysia to finish fifth.
