The Men’s team of Spain upset defending European Champion Netherlands on day three of the EuroHockey Nations Championships in Amstelveen, Netherlands. The Olympic silver medalist defeated the host 3-0. This is enough for Spain to reach the semifinals and qualification for the Hero Honda FIH World Cup 2010.
In other Monday action, England surprised Germany with a 4-4 draw. This result opens up Pool A, as Germany, England and Belgium will compete for two places in the semifinals and direct qualification for the Hero Honda FIH World Cup 2010.
