The selection committee of the Pakistan Hockey Federation has announced the 18 member squad for three test matches series against England from 29 June to 3 July.
Members of the selection committee Hassan Sardar (Chairman), Rana Mujahid Ali, Khalid Bashir, Farhat Khan and Muhammad Shafiq along with President PHF Qasim Zia and team management observed the one day trials at National hockey stadium on Thursday.
According to the schedule the team will leave for England on 27 June from Lahore. The Pakistan team will play the practice match against England on 29 June. First test match will be played on 30 June, while rest of the two test matches will be played on 2 and 3 July respectively. All the matches will be played at Stafford.
The selected team is Salman Akbar, Nasir Ahmad (Goal Keepers), Zeeshan Ashraf (Captain), Muhammad Imran, Ehsan Ullah, Amir Shahzad (Full Backs), Muhammad Irfan, Zeeshan Ali, Waseem Ahmad, Fareed Ahmad, Muhammad Rashid, Sajjad Anwar (Halves), Waqas Sharif, Shafqat Rasool, Abdul Haseem Khan, Muhammad Zubair, Akhtar Ali, and Abbas Haider (Forwards). The team officials are Muhammad Asif Bajwa (Manager), Shahid Ali Khan (Coach), Shahbaz Jr. (Asst. Coach), Nadeem Khan Lodhi (Video Analyst), Faiz Ur Rehman (Physio) and Shahzad Malik (Media Manager).
