The new FIH office in Lausanne, Switzerland opened today, Tuesday 4 January, exactly on schedule.
Els van Breda Vriesman, FIH President commented, "The new home for the hockey family is a brand-new, purpose-built headquarters in the heart of the Olympic Capital. The state-of-the-art premises will provide an optimum environment and location from which to promote, develop and administer hockey’s interests worldwide."
An official opening will follow on Friday 4 March 2005, by Juan Antonio Samaranch.
