Nineteen athletes have been selected to represent Ireland A in a three match header scheduled against the U21 Belgian side from 7–9 April scheduled for Dublin.
The athletes will be keen to make their mark in front of the coaching panel which is headed up by Craig Fulton for the ‘A’ side as no doubt the Celtic Cup scheduled for July will not be far from selectors’ minds. Fulton did not have the luxury of selecting any athletes from Three Rock Rovers due to their existing EuroHockey League commitments, the club is Germany bound for KO 16 of the EHL where they will have a showdown with KHC Leuven on 11 April.
