The 2nd Asian Indoor Games will formally open in Macau on the last days of October, 2007. With the endeavors made by the Asian Hockey Federation (Royalty Sultan Azlan Shah as Hon. President, Tan Sri P.  Alagendra as Sec. General, Tayyab Ikram as Asian CDO and Mathavan Devadas as Secretary of AHF Competition Committee), indoor hockey has been included in this Games.

Accordingly, Asian National Associations will compete against each other in a round robin format. Iran National Indoor Hockey team, after up to 25 ten days of training camp and with a German Coach supervising 17 players, will participate in this competition. The final training camp will be in the Czech Republic from 6 to 16 October, during which the Iranian team will play against teams from the Czech Republic.

The Macau Asian indoor Games mark the official start of indoor hockey in Asia and promise to be a turning point of hockey on this continent.
